Warner Springs

I arrived in Warner Springs today, had a pancake breakfast, and had an outdoor shower at the community center. Next was a trip to the post office to pick up my resupply box. I am feeling refreshed and excited to get back on the trail. Getting to the next resupply location in Idyllwild will require a detour around an area that burned last year in a wild fire. There is no official detour so we will be using some suggestions by other hikers, GPS, and some divine guidance to get to town. It may require hiking an extra 10 miles...more if we get lost.

After hiking 9 miles to get to Warner Springs, and another 9 to get to today's destination at about 6:30 pm, I'm tired and ready for a break. Most of the afternoon was uphill, in the desert, in the heat of the day. Lost and Found lost his hiking poles and went back to Warner Springs to look for them. I hiked on with Love Line from Colorado. Hopefully L&F finds his poles and can catch me in a few days!

The picture is of Eagle Rock at mile 106. I  feel like I am soaring with eagles now! :)

It's late and I need my rest. Trying to do another 23 mile day tomorrow! Thanks again for reading!
