The trail magic at Walker Pass and Hwy 178, described in a previous post, was provided by a group of trail angels that included Yogi, the lady on my left in the red shirt. She is famous on the trail because she wrote the most popular guidebook on the PCT. The lady in the cowboy hat is Jackalope, who is a former PCT hiker and friend of Yogi, Jackslope's son's trail name is Bear Bait. It was nice to meet Yogi and Jackalope along the PCT! The other two ladies have been trail angels for seven years and they seem to love blessing hikers along the trail!
